Mount Rainier National Park

Description

After a short hike higher up on a foggy, misty Mount Rainier, we decided to take a drive around the park, and ended up finding the Snow Lake Trail just southeast of the main visitor's center. With much more visibility and even some clear skies, we decided to go check out the lake. What a reward after such a short hike! As this was the second hike of the day, the sun had lowered further to the horizon and gave the lake a beautiful glow. A complete contrast from the foggy trek earlier in the day, it was an amazing experience to see such a change in weather and scenery in such a short amount of time.
